At Sambodh Foundation Kerala, our commitment extends to preserving and protecting our environment. We organize a diverse array of programs aimed at raising awareness and taking concrete steps towards environmental conservation.
Our efforts revolve around creating awareness about pollution reduction. We emphasize the importance of reducing, avoiding, and recycling materials that pose harm to our precious natural surroundings.
We believe in the power of trees to heal the Earth. Our tree planting and seed ball distribution initiatives contribute to the growth of green cover.
In 2017, we embarked on an ambitious month-long program named "Harithardra Santhwanam." Our Managing Trustee and dedicated team embarked on a journey from Kasargod to Trivandrum, stopping in every district. Here, they were warmly received by various organizations, transcending barriers of flag colors, castes, and religions. These visits were centered around schools (Vidyalayas) and places of worship (Devalayas).
During this program, we sowed approximately 20,000 seed balls across the state and planted 1,500 trees. Furthermore, more than 50 Nakshatra vanas (Gardens which have the 27 trees related to the 27 Nakshatras (Star signs) of the Indian astrology) were established.
Our commitment to the environment doesn't end with the planting of trees. The following year, we conducted a comprehensive review of our Nakshatra vanas and other environmental programs through a journey called "Agasthyayanam Yatra."
At Sambodh Foundation Kerala, we firmly believe that cleanliness is akin to godliness. We lead by example by physically cleaning selected areas. Even our Chairman and Managing Trustee, who belong to the order of Sanyasins, roll up their sleeves and actively participate in these efforts, embodying our dedication to the cause.
